Biography

Attila is a Doctoral Researcher at the Department of Environmental Sciences and Policy who focuses on the governance of urban sustainability transitions. His research at CEU aims to unlock the potential of nature in cities through innovation: he conducts research and works with key stakeholders in Tianjin (China), Winnipeg (Canada), Győr (Hungary) and Singapore to explore governance, policy, business, finance and partnership models that enable the successful deployment and catalyse the systemic integration of urban nature-based solutions. His work is connected to the EU-funded NATURVATION Project.

Attila serves as representative to the Doctoral Program Committee and the Student Union. Recipient of the CEU Academic Award in 2017/18. He was TA/co-instructor of CEU’s “Sustainable Development and Global Transition: From Theory to Practice” master’s course, and teaches several courses at other Hungarian and foreign institutions on sustainable development, governance, and urban transformation.
