Biography
Prof. She has more than 30 years of experience in river/lake restoration, sediment remediation, water quality, hydrologic/ hydraulic modelling, storm water management and water resources planning and management. He was a senior civil engineering specialist with City of Seattle from 1989 to 2012. He also worked for Herrera Environmental Consultant Inc and Green Earth Operations from 2010 to 2017. Now, Dr. She is the director of Smart Sponge City Planning and Construction Research Institute of Zhuhai Tsinghua Innovation Center. He is also a distinguish professor at Guangzhou University and the director of the Research Institute of Sponge City Construction Engineering, a guest professor in Shenzhen University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology of China.
Prof. She is a World Bank LID expert working on LID projects in Tianjin and Guangxi Providence in China. He developed several innovative technologies in sediment remediation, river/lake restoration and holds several patents in sediment treatment processes. He has very strong analytical skills, and developed tools for government in storm water control and water resources planning and management including LID models, water consumption real time forecast models, water main rehabilitation priority model and watershed forecast models. He has experience managing different type of projects in US and aboard. Dr. She is very active in academic research. He is currently a council member of Urban Watershed Management Research Institute of EWRI, and was the chairman of 2008 International Low Impact Development Conference in Seattle. He has given lectures in nonpoint source control and LID workshops in European counties, Brazil, New Zealand and China.
From 2014 to present Prof. She is technically in charge of sponge city design and construction in Zhejiang, Ningbo, Zhuhai and several other cities.
